Mid-West Terminal Warehouse Company is a family owned and operated business founded in 1931 by Charles J. LaMothe. Originally located at 2020 Walnut Street in downtown Kansas City, Mid-West Terminal soon became a leader in the Kansas City public warehousing industry. In 1948 Mid-West Terminal entered the barge business by acquiring the municipal wharf on the Missouri River in Kansas City. The public barge terminal proved to be an overwhelming success in Kansas City and the Midwest region.
With the operations of the company running successfully, 1963 marked the beginning of a new era for Mid-West Terminal, industrial real estate development. This new facet of business expanded under the leadership of C.J.s son Rodney LaMothe, and has grown to become the backbone of Mid-West Terminal.
C.J. and Rodney LaMothe inspired the growth of Mid-West Terminal Warehouse Company and its subsidiaries. Their leadership, sound business judgment and decisiveness, as well as a strong faith in people created a foundation which has enabled Mid-West Terminal to become an integral part of the business community of Kansas City. Today, with the additional involvement of Rodneys sons, Joe and David LaMothe, the Company continues to operate both public warehouse and barge facilities, and is a well-known and respected industrial real estate developer.
With a firm commitment to providing a quality product and service and to putting the needs of our clients first Mid-West Terminal Warehouse Company will continue to serve our clients in the Kansas City Area and beyond. |
